The major collision that occurred during the British GP left Zhou with just minor injuries.

Zhou Guanyu, who was driving for Alfa Romeo and was involved in an accident on the first curve of the British Grand Prix, is conscious and has been sent to the medical facility at Silverstone for further examination.


When Zhou was turned upside down on the approach to the first Abbey bend, he was running in ninth position. He crashed through the gravel trap and into the barricades when he went flying through it.
There was no information immediately available on Zhou's health; however, medical personnel were at the site promptly to assist him.
The collision that resulted from George Russell and Pierre Gasly running into each other on the run away from the start was caused by their collision. Zhou was struck by the Mercedes when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Zhou rolled over and skidded on the halo of the Mercedes all the way to the catch netting when he crashed.
Russell came to a halt at the end at the first curve, which was also the location where his left rear tire had separated from the wheel.
Alex Albon's Williams was involved in a second accident farther back when it was struck from behind by Sebastian Vettel's Aston Martin. The impact sent Albon's car straight into the pit wall.
Yuki Tsunoda and Esteban Ocon were both injured as a result of the commotion that ensued when other vehicles collided with Albon's damaged vehicle as it spun out of the way.
Since then, FIA race director has verified that both Zhou and Albon have been sent to the medical facility for preventative examinations.
According to Alfa Romeo, Zhou is conscious and able to communicate, and there are no broken bones. When taking into account the circumstances, it may be said that he is doing rather well.
