I attentively tracked the disappearance/murder of Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie. Something about this case pulled me in, and I was unable to escape. I had hoped Gabby would be discovered alive, followed by Brian, so that we might get answers. Sadly, both bodies were discovered to be dead. There is continuing legal action in civil court, where her parents are suing her and his estate, as well as her parents. Yesterday, I watched the proceedings on the request to dismiss and hoped that the matter would go to trial so that we might find out what occurred. If the court allows the case to proceed, this was not expected to occur until 2023. Imagine my horror when I looked down at my phone and saw the message that Brian Laundrie's notebook confession had been made public.

I am not going to lie; I had a mental image of what transpired. We all witnessed the way he and his family behaved in the days after the murder from the police dash cam film of their domestic quarrel. However, this was not at all what I expected. Is it the whole tale? I mean that we cannot genuinely know. The only two individuals who knew what occurred last August along Spread Creek in Grand Teton National Park are no longer with us.
