Continuous betrayal by leaders has left Nigerians worn out

A Nigerian comedian and composer, Samuel Animashaun Perry, popularly called Broda Shaggi, has expressed concern over the present state of the state.

In a post on his verified Facebook page on weekdays, Broda Shaggi lamented the division between ethnic and religious teams within the country as being depicted by some voter's vociferation for secession.

Reacting to the present economic state of affairs in Nigeria that is allegedly birthed by dangerous governance, he said “everybody has experienced some style of pain, cruelty, and neglect from the govt and its enforcement agencies”.

The post reads, “There was a time once the ‘WAZOBIA’ ideal was popular; this Nigeria was our own and it didn’t matter what region you were from.

“It’s currently ‘dog eat dog’ out here, the individuals supposed to uphold the rule of law treat us like we are the enemies. everyone has experienced some sort of pain, cruelty, and neglect from the govt and its enforcement agencies.

“Earlier this year, I place along with a performance where I wrung out my soul and people of my collaborators. It encapsulates our needs for a better Nigeria, one with hope and love. I hope we don’t hand over fighting for our land, I hope we summon the bits of our living selves and become “Brutus to their Neros”.
